WhatsApp has expanded the functionality of the computer version

Windows and Mac users now have access to the features of the mobile app.

Users of the computer version of the popular WhatsApp messenger now have access to voice and video calls, which were previously only available in the mobile version of the program. This is reported by the Engadget blog with reference to the company’s statement.
It is specified that calls can be made by users of the messenger client for Windows and Mac computers, while calls work in both portrait and landscape orientation and are always displayed on top of other open applications.
It is also reported that now voice and video calls in the version of WhatsApp for PC are possible only between two users, but it is possible that in the future group communication will also be available.
The WhatsApp User Agreement has a clause on the transfer of personal data to Facebook Corporation. The text states that the messenger, as part of the Facebook corporation, will share information about the user with the entire “family of applications” to analyze their habits and tastes.
After that, there was a massive refusal of users from WhatsApp in favor of Telegram, which its founder Pavel Durov called “the largest digital migration”.
In turn, Senator Alexey Pushkov predicted that the user policy of WhatsApp will cause dissatisfaction and a decline in the popularity of the service.
