Twitter has started testing the display of ads in responses to tweets

The authors of the tweets must agree to the placement and can receive “part of the advertising revenue.”

The social network wants to check how advertising will affect user communication, the head of the company’s sales department, Bruce Falk, said on Twitter.
Twitter will be testing the format over the “coming months” in users with iOS and Android apps. Ads will appear after the first, third, or eighth response. After that, the company will decide whether to leave such an advertising format or not.
Falk clarified that, probably, the authors of the tweets “will receive part of the advertising revenue” and must agree to the placement of such blocks.
Now the social network shows advertisements in search results, in the news feed and user profiles.
