Twitter did not respond to the demand of Roskomnadzor to remove the prohibited content

The management of Twitter has not yet responded to the demand of Russian government agencies to remove the prohibited content. This was stated by the head of the Department of control and Supervision in the field of electronic communications of Roskomnadzor Yevgeny Zaitsev at a press conference in the Izvestia Information Center.
According to him, Roskomnadzor does not see any feedback or real actions from the service.
“We do not see any progress in ensuring that this platform complies with the legislation of the Russian Federation on the territory of the Russian Federation,” Zaitsev said.
At the same time, he noted, there are also complaints about such sites as YouTube and Facebook, but there are more of them to Twitter.
On March 10, Roskomnadzor announced the introduction of measures against the microblog. Due to the systematic violation of the legislation of the Russian Federation, it was decided to reduce the data transfer rate of the service. On March 16, deputy head of Roskomnadzor Vadim Subbotin said that the agency will block Twitter on the territory of the Russian Federation in a month if it does not delete the prohibited information.
