Samsung Galaxy S21 – specifications and release date

According to previous rumors, on January 14 next year, Samsung will probably present its flagship Galaxy S21 series to the world. The Android Authority portal reports that the announcement will be made on the 14th, and the launch will take place on January 22.

On the eve of the expected presentation, the South Korean tech giant announced the release date of its flagship processor, called Exynos 2100, and planned to work in S21 smartphones for European countries and other global markets. There is a lot of noise around the phones, as Samsung is likely to abandon the Note series in the future. And also about the design and how the cameras will stand up against the competing iPhone 12 series.

Here’s what to expect from the S21 series.

It’s almost confirmed that all three smartphones will run on the Android 11 installer with the Samsung UI 3.0 skin on top, as the S20 series has already received an update. According to WinFuture, the most compact phone in the series is likely to feature plastic on the back, like the Samsung S20 Fan Edition released this year. This will help the company significantly reduce the price of the S21. It will arrive with a 6.2-inch 120 Hz screen and the same 4000 mAh battery as its predecessor. In a number of countries, the chipset in it will be Snapdragon 888, the newly announced chipset of Qualcomm.

Samsung S21 Plus will put up a 6.7-inch display with a high frequency. However, it will be powered by a more capacious 4800 mAh battery. The rear panel of the S21 and S21 Plus will accommodate ultra-wide-angle, wide-angle, and telephoto lenses at 12, 12, and 64 Mp, respectively. In addition, they will have an LED flash on the right side of the camera module. The camera module has changed a lot in appearance, as can be seen from the leaked images. It merges with the side of the phone, making it more streamlined. At the same time, the Samsung S21 Ultra will arrive with a 6.8-inch screen with WQHD+ resolution. Although it is not yet known whether such a high resolution will be able to maintain an increased regeneration frequency. On the back panel, it will have a quad camera with a 108 Mp base. The large camera module will additionally accommodate a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor and a pair of 10-megapixel telephoto lenses with 3x and 10x optical zoom. The front may have a 40-megapixel camera. All this will be powered by a 4885 mAh battery.

There are also rumors that the S21 Ultra will appear with S-Pen support. Leaked images of the phones suggest that buyers will have more color options this time around.
