The corresponding statement says that the process will take place unobtrusively thanks to the introduction of paid options for business representatives and users with broad needs. The bulk of users should not be afraid — all current services will remain free.
“In addition to these, we will offer additional features for business teams and users with advanced needs. Some of these new features will be resource-intensive and, as a result, will become paid. Ordinary users will always use Telegram for free, ” wrote Pavel Durov.
The developer added that all Telegram options responsible for messaging will be ad-free. Pavel Durov stressed that communication between users should not be interrupted.
