Google has announced new Pixel smartphones on its own Tensor chip

Before that, the company used Qualcomm chips.

The company will release Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro in the fall. Then she promises to reveal the details and technical characteristics of the devices.
The Pixel 6 Pro will have a slightly curved screen with a diagonal of 6.7 inches and a refresh rate of 120 Hz, three cameras on the back: a wide-angle, ultra-wide-angle and a telephoto lens with a four-fold optical zoom. The Pixel 6 has a flat screen with a diagonal of 6.4 inches and a refresh rate of 90 Hz, without a telephoto lens.
Both smartphones will run on the Tensor chip, which Google has been working on for four years. According to the company’s CEO Sundar Pichai, this is “the biggest innovation in Pixel”.
According to CNBC, Google Tensor’s “system on a chip” will speed up the processing of machine learning tasks — for example, improve the processing of photos and videos. The data will be processed on the smartphone, and not sent to the cloud.
In June 2020, Apple abandoned Intel in Mac and switched to chips of its own production. According to CNBC, like Apple, Google uses the Arm architecture.
