According to the information received, the postponement of the release of the Mavic 3 is due to upcoming changes in the rules for the use of drones in the United States. We are talking about changes to the Remote ID for copters, the details of which should be finalized by the end of 2020 by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
DJI has reportedly suspended development pending the FAA’s decision. Thus, even if the changes are made before the end of this year, the company will need from 4 to 6 months before the release of the finished device. So you will have to wait for a new Mavic at least until next summer.
